Summary statistics for a layer's fields — understand the shape of your data before you map or analyze it.

The Statistics tab summarizes a layer’s data so you can understand its distribution at a glance — useful before styling a map or choosing an analysis.

What it shows

  • Per-field summaries for the selected layer (such as counts and ranges).
  • A quick read on how values are distributed, which informs choices like choropleth breaks.

Using it

  • Open it from the output panel tabs, or from a layer in the Layers panel.
  • Pair it with Visualize — the agent uses a layer’s distribution to pick sensible map styles automatically.
